Why We Worship

As believers, we can't help but worship our Savior. The celebration of God's glory is an incredible privilege we've been undeservedly given.  We gather to bring praise and honor to his name, and the gospel is the heart of why we worship.  God saw us in sinful rebellion against Him, and yet sent His son to die for us and take the penalty for each of our sins, so that we could be made right with Him. It is because he did this and rose victoriously from the grave, that we celebrate our relationship with Him.  This truth is the foundation for what we do and why we worship.  We celebrate Christ's sacrifice both corporately and individually, and seek to worship Him not only through music, but through every aspect of our lives.  As believers, worship is more than a tradition; it's the foundation for all we do.

The Foundation

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

Psalms 95:1-7
